CBA Students Lead the Ledger at STOAS-CL 2026
Students from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) demonstrated excellent performance during the Search for Ten Outstanding Accountancy Students of Central Luzon (STOAS-CL) 2026 held on April 10, 2026, at the HSD Multipurpose Hall, Clark Freeport Zone.
The event recognized graduating BS Accountancy students who exemplified excellence in academics, leadership, service, and integrity.
From over a hundred candidates across the region, only 25 were selected as finalists, wherein four CLSU students stand out, securing the following distinctions:

CLSU Caps off 119th Founding Anniversary with Recognition of Exemplary Employees at the 2026 PRAISE
Capping off the final leg of its 119th Founding Anniversary celebrations, Central Luzon State University (CLSU), through the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) honors its most outstanding employees during the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) held today, April 20, at the University Auditorium, following the morning flag-raising rites.
The PRAISE recognizes individuals and groups who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields, ensuring that the university continues to lead in academic and research.

CHED Brings 1st Quarter BOR Meeting at CLSU; New Alumni President Sworn In
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) convened the Board of Regents (BOR) of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) - its highest policy-making body, for a 1st quarter regular meeting on April 17, 2026, at the University Administration Conference Room. The session focused on strategic governance and institutional advancements aimed at sustaining the university’s academic excellence.
CHED Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino presided over the meeting, joined by the members of the CLSU BOR and various resource persons.
Before the formal deliberations began, Dir. Nemesio V. Torres, the newly elected President of the CLSU Alumni Association Inc., officially took his oath of office as the new Alumni Regent.
The ceremony was administered by Commissioner Aquino. In his new role, Regent Torres is tasked with representing the collective voice of the alumni, ensuring they remain active and vital partners in achieving the university's mission.
During the session, University President Dr. Evaristo A. Abella presented a comprehensive report on CLSU’s recent accomplishments, highlighting international rankings and accreditations, and student and faculty achievements. The Board also engaged with the resource persons to tackle key issues, including the proposals of the university.
Prior to the BOR meeting of CLSU, the University also graciously hosted Tarlac Agricultural University for the conduct of their own Board of Regents meeting.
This activity underscores CLSU’s dedication to transparency and its standing as a premier comprehensive state university in the Philippines.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, Commissioner Aquino conducted a site visit of the university’s various facilities and Research and Development (R&D) Centers, observing firsthand the innovations being spearheaded by the institution.

THE SEARCH COMMITTEE FOR PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES (SCPSR)
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OR NOMINATIONS FOR TWO PRIVATE SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES TO THE CLSU BOARD OF REGENTS
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Filipino citizen and of legal age
From an industry, business or profession preferably related to the CLSU’s charter or mandate
Have at least five (5) years of employment, business or practice of profession in the private sector
Domiciled in or a resident for at least two (2) years of Science City of Muñoz or Nueva Ecija
Not connected with CLSU or other government agencies and instrumentalities in any manner for one (1) year immediately prior to application or nomination
Not currently employed or appointed to any position in the government (local, national, including government-owned and controlled corporations), be it full time or part time, at the time of nomination or application
Not related to any present member of the CLSU Board of Regents or his/her duly-authorized
representatives within fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity
Not have been a candidate who lost in any national or local election (except for barangay elections) within one (1) year after such election
Documentary Requirements:
Duly notarized letter of application or nomination (with the conforme of the nominee) addressed to Dr. Theody B. Sayco, SCPSR Chairperson
Duly accomplished, computerized and notarized Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 12)
Certificate of Employment stating the applicant’s or nominee’s present position in the private
sector related to the industry, business or profession related to CLSU’s charter or mandate
Service Record of the applicant or nominee who has been employed in the government at any
point
NBI Clearance
Certification of No Connection with CLSU
Signed Commitment and Availability to Serve CLSU
Signed Conforme to the Following Conditions of Appointment of a Private Sector Representative (PSR):
Each PSR shall serve for a term of two (2) years commencing from the time of the taking of
oath of office. A PSR shall not act in a hold-over capacity after the term ends.
In case of death, incapacity, resignation or other analogous reasons, the PSR’s position shall
be deemed vacated. A new search process for the new PSR must be established in
accordance with the provisions of CHED Memorandum Order No. 07, s. 2022. The new PSR
will serve the full term of two (2) years.

through a representative, by registered mail or by authorized private courier with:
