Campaign Priorities Membership Opportunities FAQs Why is Angelo State participating in a campaign? Angelo State is charging towards its centennial birthday in 2028. Remaining resilient and relevant as we mark this major milestone gives us the opportunity to grow and make an impact on the future of Angelo State. The Leading the Charge campaign is an organized fundraising effort with a goal to raise $128 million by Angelo State’s centennial celebration. We will leverage investments from our alumni, friends and partners to raise the prominence of Angelo State as an innovative leader in driving educational, cultural and economic initiatives to meet the needs, face the challenges and grasp the opportunities for our region, our state and the global community. How did the university decide on the campaign priorities? Identifying campaign priorities was the result of nearly three years of collaboration between university leaders. What is the timeline of the campaign? The Leading the Charge campaign will run through 2028, Angelo State’s centennial birthday. Does any gift I make count towards the campaign? To ensure the highest possible gift and campaign integrity, all charitable contributions made to Angelo State will be counted and recorded using the standards set forth by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Any exception to CASE standards must be approved by the vice president for external affairs. Who can contribute to the campaign? Anyone and everyone! We welcome gifts of support from far and wide, including alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and faculty and staff. Every gift is important and can make an impact on our university. In measuring success, we count gifts, pledges, estate gifts and in-kind contributions from nearly all sources during the campaign. A gift of any amount will help us reach our goal of $128 million. Can I contribute gifts besides money, such as real estate? Yes. In addition to outright gifts of cash, checks and online gifts made by credit card, there are several additional ways you can contribute to benefit Angelo State. These include convenient recurring gift options through bank draft or UA payroll deduction, multiple-year commitments through pledges and gifts of securities, stocks and property, and estates and planned gifts. Can my bequest or planned giving be recognized during the campaign? Absolutely. Bequests are a great option to establish a philanthropic legacy at Angelo State through our Oaks Society. We work closely with you to make sure your wishes are recorded and recognized accordingly. How will my gift be used? Gifts can be designated to the institution or a specific college, program or scholarship. The Office of Development and Alumni Relations will work closely with you to ensure your wishes are followed. If you decide to give an unrestricted gift, ASU leadership will decide the most strategic placement for the gift. Will donors be recognized during the campaign? Angelo State places great importance on recognizing donors in meaningful ways, such as acknowledgements, communications, events, namings and giving societies. We appreciate every gift and have many ways to demonstrate gratitude for donor generosity. Can I make a confidential donation? Yes, you can remain anonymous. Understanding your wishes to remain anonymous is an important discussion that happens in the initial steps of establishing your impactful gift to Angelo State.
