A world class environment for practice-based research
RAAD is BCU’s Centre for Research in Art, Architecture and Design. We are a community of artists, designers, makers, thinkers and writers. We believe that creative practice in art, architecture, and design matters and that it can transform individuals, communities, and society. In our research we collaborate, explore, and share knowledge to make a difference.
Research clusters
RAAD has a number of thematic research clusters which bring together our researchers, postgraduate researchers, colleagues and external collaborators. Our clusters support members, generate projects and run events to explore the issues and challenges in art, architecture and design research that aims to make a difference in the world
