Our Programs
The School of Architecture is a thriving, dynamic school offering many challenging degree paths designed to cultivate the next generation of architects and creative professionals.
Architecture
Bachelor of Architecture
This program offers a five-year course of study leading to a NAAB-accredited professional architecture degree. Woodbury’s program provides students the knowledge and skills required for a career as a professional architect, as well as personalized attention, small class sizes, and a general understanding of the profound social and cultural power of design at local and global scales.
Architecture
Construction Management
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management
The mission of this program is to transform the built environment by building sustainably. Students integrate design, technology, business analytics, and executive skills with sustainability and the liberal arts, using experiential, hands-on learning to advance as agile, future-ready leaders and entrepreneurs in the developer, construction, and design-related industries.
Construction Management
Interior Design
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design
Interior Design is the art of creating a memorable experience of the space that surrounds us. Woodbury’s School of Architecture offers a four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design at its Los Angeles campus. Through small class sizes and individual attention, we foster close mentoring relationships between faculty, staff and students.
Interior Design
Master of Architecture
NAAB Accredited Professional and STEM Designated Degree
The M. Arch program locates the work of architecture at the intersection of disciplinary principles and professional competency. Ideas become impactful when translated into material conditions. The messy process of translation often results in imperfect but meaningful design proposals that address challenges of contemporary life. Embracing the compromise between ideal and real underscores our commitment to the here and now.
Master of Architecture
Master of Interior Design
Alternate Environments
The Master of Interior Design (MID) program provides an education in interior environments that elevates and reinvents the discipline of interior architecture by mining and re-imagining the range of our human experiences. In doing so, this graduate program cultivates scholars, academics and critics, while generating emergent and alternative approaches to the profession, specifically in the Southern California region. MID is a STEM program.
Master of Interior Design
Master of Science in Architecture
One-Year Program
More than ever, architecture needs to be understood as part of an ever-expanding set of aesthetic, social, and technical systems. The Master of Science in Architecture (MSArch) is a one-year/three-semester STEM-designated program that invites architects and non-architects to explore this expanded zone of interdisciplinary practice. Each student chooses an area of concentration that allows them to build expertise in a specific system of thought and technique.
Master of Science in Architecture
Woodbury School of Architecture is one of only 22 schools nationwide offering the National Council of Architectural Registration Board’s Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure (IPAL) program.

WSOA Learning & Teaching Culture Policy
The Learning & Teaching Culture Policy (LTCP) is a living document, (maintained by a committee of faculty, students, and administrators) to uphold a positive and respectful academic and professional environment at Woodbury School of Architecture. It replaces our previous Studio Culture policy which focused on only the studio. This new Learning & Teaching Culture policy recognizes important relationships within our community and the responsibility of faculty, students, the administration and student organizations in shaping the culture of the school. Together, we outline common goals for us to achieve as a community.

Accreditation
NAAB
In the United States, most registration boards require a degree from an accredited professional degree program as a prerequisite for licensure. The National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), which is the sole agency authorized to accredit professional degree programs in architecture offered by institutions with U.S. regional accreditation, recognizes three types of degrees: the Bachelor of Architecture, the Master of Architecture, and the Doctor of Architecture. A program may be granted an eight-year term, an eight-year term with conditions, or a three-year term of initial accreditation, depending on the extent of its conformance with established education standards.
Doctor of Architecture and Master of Architecture degree programs may require a non-accredited undergraduate degree in architecture for admission. However, the non-accredited degree is not, by itself, recognized as an accredited degree.
Woodbury School of Architecture offers the following NAAB-accredited degree programs:
Bachelor of Architecture
(160 undergraduate credits)
Master of Architecture
(pre-professional degree + 63 graduate credits)
Master of Architecture
(non-pre-professional degree + 93 credits)
