School Leadership | CT Boarding School | Canterbury School Leadership Meet our Head of School: Caroline Blatti Caroline Blatti brings more than 25 years of leadership and teaching experience in independent schools, shaped by a deep commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and community connection. She began her tenure as Canterbury’s seventh Head of School on July 1, 2025. Caroline’s career spans coeducational and single-sex schools, both day and boarding, in the U.S. and abroad. Early in her career, she taught English, coached, and served as an Assistant Housemaster at The Lawrenceville School, where she experienced firsthand the transformative power of boarding school life and its unique capacity to shape character, confidence, and community. At Hutchison School in Memphis, Tenn., she founded Hutchison Leads, a nationally recognized leadership program, and as Head of Upper School expanded STEM, digital media, and global studies offerings. Most recently, Caroline served eight years as Head of School at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, where she strengthened academic programs, launched signature leadership and STEM initiatives, grew the endowment, and advanced the school’s inclusive culture. A first-generation college graduate and daughter of Irish-Catholic immigrants, Caroline earned her B.A. in English from Princeton University, where she was a multi-sport varsity athlete, and her M.A. in English Literature from University College London. Caroline leads with both conviction and compassion. Her leadership is marked by strategic vision, thoughtful collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of relationships to shape institutional success. At Canterbury, she is committed to honoring the school’s traditions while advancing forward-thinking strategies that prepare students to lead lives of purpose and impact.
