After-School Programs - Pace Academy After-School Programs Activity on the Pace Academy campus continues long after the school day ends. Through our Knight Crew and Enrichment programs, we offer a multitude of activities for Lower School students to explore their interests, try something new or simply play. Pace partners with experienced program leaders to provide high-quality enrichment programs with the goal of encouraging students to continue to learn and grow after the school day ends. We offer a variety of programs led by members of the Pace faculty and community vendors. After-school enrichment programs typically meet once per week each semester. Examples of enrichment programs include: Junior Knights, chess, STEAM, sports, and arts. Students must register and pay in advance for enrichment programs. Registration details will be emailed to current families. After-school enrichment programs typically meet once per week for 12 weeks each semester. Enrichment programs do not meet on early dismissal days, school holidays or other days that school is not in session. Knight Crew, our everyday after-school program, focuses on “letting kids be kids” in a safe, supervised and fun environment. The program strives to extend the same character-building opportunities and inclusive environment found in our Lower School classrooms to after-school activities. Students join Knight Crew when their regular school day ends (2:15 p.m. for Pre-First; 3 p.m. for first through fifth grades) and may be picked up any time before 6 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, Knight Crew participants enjoy snacks, supervised play and homework times. Students may enroll for the year or attend on a drop-in basis. Knight Crew registration occurs in MYFAMILY. Registration for Knight Crew is required, but there’s no enrollment cap—all students may participate! You’re welcome to register your student at any point during the school year, as needed. During registration, you will select drop-in or monthly attendance for your child; the fee is based on this selection. If you need to change your child’s registration from monthly to drop-in (or vice versa) at a later date, please email auxiliaryprograms@paceacademy.org by the first of the month. Register todaY! Schedule Fees After-School Snacks Enrichment Activities & Knight Crew Here’s how Knight Crew participants spend their time: 2:15-3 p.m. Pre-First students enjoy a small snack and activities include supervised recess, indoor/outdoor play and rotating special activities. Students are dismissed to either carpool, Knight Crew, or an enrichment program. 3-6 p.m. Pre-First through fifth-grade students - daily activities include snack, homework time and other activities on a rotating basis, such as supervised play, games, STEAM and arts and crafts. Knight Crew fees vary based upon a child’s level of participation in the program. Families have the choice of selecting 'Monthly' or 'Drop-In' billing when registering their student(s) for Knight Crew. The prices for Knight Crew are as follows: There is a $25 non-refundable annual registration fee per student. Pre-First (2:15 p.m. - 3 p.m.) Monthly Billing: $100 per month Drop-In Billing: $25 per session First through Fifth Grade (3 p.m. - 6 p.m.) **This pricing also applies to Pre-First students staying past 3 p.m.** Monthly Billing: $250 per month Drop-In Billing: $35 per session Students in Knight Crew at 3 p.m. are given a snack. Examples include pretzels, fruit cups, chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, Goldfish, etc. Students are also welcome to bring their own snacks. Many students come to Knight Crew after participating in a separate activity. These students join their grade group wherever they are in the rotation schedule. Due to the inability to provide one-on-one supervision of a child, we cannot guarantee that homework will be completed for these students.
