Early Childhood applicants will develop their academic, social and emotional skills with our hands-on experiential learning. Candidates applying to our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools should have a strong desire to achieve in the classroom and be committed to learning and developing their extracurricular interests and activities. We enroll students from a wide range of socioeconomic, geographic, religious and ethnic backgrounds. We encourage applicants to apply who have the skills, abilities and potential to take advantage of the opportunities our school and community provide. Our goal is to enroll students from a wide range of backgrounds who share the values and mission of our school. We are interested in meeting each prospective candidate and personally getting to know you. Applications for our priority deadline will be accepted from October 1 through February 1. After February 1, we move into rolling admission and will review applications based upon the space availability in the grade to which you are applying. The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is the admissions assessment for students entering Grades 2-12. The exam provides advanced insights to help guide our admission decisions, as well as to families in finding the best academic fit for their students. The ISEE is required by Wardlaw+Hartridge for all applicants to Grades 2-11. Learn more here Before Care is included in tuition. Parents may drop off their children in the library starting at 7:30 a.m. The students will be supervised and then escorted to their classrooms at 8 a.m. There is no charge for this early drop off. EXPLORERS is a daily after school enrichment program for children in PreK(3), Junior Kindergarten(4) and Kindergarten is available from 3-5 p.m. and takes place in the Early Childhood classrooms. Students who need to stay until after 5pm will be brought to our Encore program where they can stay until 6pm. ENCORE is our after school program available for students in grades 1 through 8. It is a safe and supervised environment for students to work on homework, enjoy a snack, participate in enrichment programs, socialize and play with friends and much more. ENCORE is available from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. The charge for ENCORE is $15 per hour for drop-ins. We also offer hourly packages that families can use for a lower rate. Both EXPLORERS and ENCORE can be used as needed. Please be sure to inform your child's teacher on the days they will attend. On average, 475 students are enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Wardlaw+Hartridge is characterized by its extraordinarily diverse student body.
