Strategic and Business Plans
​The Standards Commission for Scotland is required to produce a four year Strategic Plan, which is laid before Parliament and kept under annual review. We are also obliged to produce an annual Business Plan outlining the work we will undertake each year in order to meet our strategic aims. Risk Management
The Standards Commission has developed a Risk Management Policy which underlies the Standards Commission's approach to risk management which is embedded into the strategic, financial and business planning. The policy decisions on risk is considered each time a strategic decision is taken or a policy is approved.
Risks are considered, managed and minimised in a manner which is proportionate and affordable when all policies and procedures are designed and implemented. The Standards Commission's

Standards Commission - British Sign Language Plan
We are pleased to publish our British Sign Language (BSL) Plan.  The Plan sets out the actions which the Standards Commission will take over the period 2025-2031 to improve access to information and services for BSL users.  The
BSL Plan
is available to download as a pdf.
