Management Education and Pedagogy Research Cluster
Fostering creative and future-oriented teaching practices in business, fashion and law.
We are dedicated to advancing excellence in teaching and learning at
Bath Business School
through rigorous research into innovative pedagogical approaches.
By bringing together academic staff with shared scholarly interests, the Management Education and Pedagogy Research (MEPER) Cluster serves as a hub for the critical exploration of emerging pedagogical models, digital learning practices and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Its mission is to foster transformative teaching practices that respond effectively to the evolving needs of learners in an increasingly complex and dynamic educational landscape.
At the heart of the Cluster is a strong commitment to collaboration, scholarly exchange, and mutual support.
Through a range of research initiatives, MEPER investigates pedagogical innovations that enhance student engagement, promote collaborative problem-solving, and strengthen learners’ critical, reflective, and systematic thinking capabilities.
The Cluster’s research themes include (but are not limited to):
Dialogic, creative, and decolonial pedagogies
Educator-student co-creation in curriculum design
Innovative, authentic and reflective assessment
Short-block, asynchronous, and transnational education
Ethical and AI-informative (but not AI-led) teaching and learning
Higher education policy, leadership, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
In addition, the MEPER Cluster provides a dynamic platform for disseminating research findings, sharing scholarly insights and fostering meaningful dialogue within and beyond the Business School.
Through these activities, the Cluster contributes to reimagining the future of higher education and to the development of inclusive and impactful learning experiences that enable all students to thrive.
