Alleyn's Active Swim School Intensive Swimming Course Alleyn’s School Intensive Swimming Course Intensive holiday courses are a great way to build confidence and improve all stages of swimming in a short period of time. BOOK HERE Each lesson lasts for 30 minutes. Class sizes are kept between 6 to 12 pupils per teacher to ensure plenty of individual tuition for each swimmer. Class sizes may vary in the higher ability groups. Lessons are delivered by specialist instructors in the school’s 25-metre pool, taking place at time between 8.30am and 10.45am, each day. Teachers will accompany non-swimmers and beginners in the water to provide an environment which is fun, friendly, and enjoyable. Parents are welcome to watch their children from our spectator area that overlooks the pool. Our courses are open to all the community. Children must be aged 4 years and 6 months on the first day of the course. Upcoming Dates Tuesday 26th May to Friday 29th May. Ability levels explained Please review the ability bandings below to select the most suitable course for your child. Our intensive lessons are delivered as combined classes: Stage 1 & 2, Stage 3 & 4, Stage 5 & 6, and Stage 7+. The description listed at each stage is our aim for where your child will be at the end of the course of lessons. If your child does not yet meet the criteria, then this is the appropriate class for them. The course will develop confidence and introduce movements in water for up to 5m.
