The Board of Governors meets at least twice each term, and each Governor has specific oversight responsibilities at the school.

Chair of Governors: Miss Jean Lovett, BSc Hons Lond
Jean graduated from the University of London with a BSc in Toxicology and Pharmacology, after which she trained as a solicitor. After practising law in the City for over 35 years, including 20 years as a partner at Linklaters LLP specialising in employment law, she retired in 2024. She sits on the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Finance Committee. Jean’s three sons all attended the school.
Mr Andy Crow BSc Bristol, MBA Warwick, FCA
Andy graduated with a BSc from Bristol and an MBA from Warwick Business School. He is a chartered accountant who retired in 2017 after 18 years in practice with PwC and 20 years with UBM plc, a listed events and media company. Andy is a former parent and sits on the school’s Finance and Risk Committees.
Dr Charlie Fairhurst, BSc, MSc, MBBS, DCH, DRCOG, FAPCP, MRCP, FRCPI, FRCPCH
Charlie studied MBBS medicine at the London Hospital Medical College back in the 80’s, having also done a BSc in Biochemistry . He has been a consultant in Paediatric Neurosciences for over 25 years at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital at Guy’s and St Thomas’. He is a fellow of several Royal Colleges and has been the national clinical lead for children’s Neurosciences at NHS England for the last 7 years as well as a Clinical Advisor to NICE. He is a former DPS parent of a happy, balanced and resilient resident doctor and is the school’s Safeguarding Governor.
Mr Huw Humphreys, MA Oxon
Huw has an MA in Music from St. Anne’s College, Oxford, and is a former Head of Music at the Barbican. He has managed Europe’s foremost youth orchestra and overseen the education programme of an international symphony orchestra and is currently a trustee of the Academy of Ancient Music. Huw is a former pupil and parent and is the President of the school’s alumni association, having previously been its Chair. He sits on the school’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and chairs the Development Committee.
Mrs Kate Kelleher, MA Oxon
Kate graduated from St Hugh’s College Oxford with an MA in Jurisprudence and qualified as a solicitor. She retired in 2017 following a 39 year career as a corporate and share incentive specialist in City law firms. Kate sits on the school’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Finance Committee. Both Kate’s sons are former DPS pupils.
Mr Nick Martel, BSC Hons, MRICS
Nick graduated from the University of East London and is a former Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He is a consultant, advisor, and trustee to clients in the retail, leisure, real estate, professional service, and private equity sectors. He supports the school with a focus on property and estate management, and sits on the Health & Safety Committee.
Mr Jervis Rhodes, BA Hons Cantab, MBA City Lond, ACIB
Jervis was awarded a scholarship to St John’s College, Cambridge to study for a BA Hons Geography. Subsequently he has had a career in banking, becoming a Director of N M Rothschild and then holding other Bank CEO and Chief Risk Officer positions. He has an MBA from City University Business School and an ACIB qualification. Jervis is a former pupil and parent of two boys. He has lived in Dulwich for over 45 years, is Trustee for a Peckham-based charity and is a Crystal Palace season ticket holder. He sits on the Finance Committee.
Mr Steve Smith, BA York
Steve has a BA in Economics and Politics from the University of York. Following a 28-year career at Morgan Stanley as an equity markets executive, he now provides consultancy on Sustainable Finance and private placement of growth equity capital. Steve is a former parent, the school’s Assistant Safeguarding Governor, and has a focus on Early Years, SEND and Wellbeing.
