Submarine USS COBIA Tours
The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is proud to be home to USS
Cobia
, a World War II submarine. USS
Cobia
is moored in the Manitowoc River next to the museum. Guests may tour the submarine anytime during regular museum open hours. Please visit our
Accessibility
page for more information on touring the submarine with mobility limitations.
Guided Tours
are one way to experience the submarine. In the summer months, guided tours are available every day on a timed basis. Guided tours are approximately 45 minutes long. Tour capacity is limited and tours do sell out, so we strongly encourage purchasing your tickets ahead of time. You can purchase advance tickets online or by calling the Museum. A limited number of tickets are available on a walk-in basis.
Self-Guided Tours
are another way to experience the submarine at your own pace. Self-guided tours are available anytime during regular Museum hours. An audio tour device can be borrowed for use during your submarine exploration at no charge. Guests may also download the mobile app on Android devices or access it online at any time
here
.
Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse Tours
We are excited to announce that guided tours of the Manitowoc Breakwater Lighthouse will be available during summer 2025 by the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in partnership with the Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary Club.
Check out the information here to plan your Lighthouse visit.
Please note that the Lighthouse is not immediately accessible from the Wisconsin Maritime Museum building.
