Nursing Applicants*:

An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent degree
*Applicants are required to provide a Criminal Background Check/Qualifying Letter prior to enrolling in courses. Options for applicants are provided in the admissions application. In addition, Education applicants are also required to provide proof of liability insurance.
Tuition and Fees
Applying for Financial Aid:
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
You may submit it as soon as possible after October 1st of your senior year. Our FAFSA code is 002914.
Once you have been accepted to Catawba College and we have received the valid results of your FAFSA, the Office of Financial Aid will process your financial aid package.

Free Class for NC Community College Students
You can take one course per semester free!
Catawba College offers North Carolina Community College students the opportunity to take one course per semester through Catawba tuition-free. This allows community college students the ability to earn up to the equivalent of one full-time semester at Catawba College, without paying tuition. After earning your associate's degree, you are closer to earning your bachelor degree, and your total cost is significantly less.
Who can participate?
The program is limited to full-time, degree-seeking students at a North Carolina Community College.
Where and when are classes?
You may choose from face-to-face offerings at our campus in Salisbury or online. Courses offered in the summer and at the graduate level are not included.

You will apply as a non-degree seeking student by

Are there limitations to the program?
You are limited to one course per semester while you are enrolled as a student at the community college, and you are limited to four free courses.
Some courses have enrollment limitations.
You will be responsible to purchase any textbooks or materials required to successfully complete the course.
The course must be taken for grade, meaning no Pass/Fail registration.
You must apply at least 7 days before the start of the class, including the Letter of Good Standing from the registrar at your community college and signed Guidelines document.
You may register no sooner than 14 days before the first day of class and no later than the last day to add a class per Catawba’s academic calendar.
