The High Energy Physics Advisory Panel (HEPAP) was terminated effective August 8, 2025. Current charges will be transferred to the new Office of Science Advisory Committee (SCAC).

The High Energy Physics Advisory Panel (HEPAP) advised the federal government on the national program in experimental and theoretical high energy physics (HEP) research since its inception in 1967. From October 2000 to August 2025, the Panel had joint ownership and was chartered by the Department of Energy (DOE) and reported directly to the Associate Director, Office of High Energy Physics, Office of Science (DOE), and the Assistant Director, Mathematical & Physical Sciences Directorate (NSF), under the guidelines established by the
