Her careers with SVC, WSU Extension, and as the Executive Director for United Way of Skagit County have honed her leadership skills and established strong partnerships that create collective impact. Debra has served on Skagit’s Population Health Trust, the Low-Income Housing and Homelessness Services Advisory Council, the EDASC board, and now serves on the Sedro-Woolley Housing Authority Board. As a Commissioner for Public Hospital District 304, Debra strives to promote wellbeing for people of all ages and believes in keeping quality healthcare close to home. Ellen de Jong Commissioner (read more) Ellen de Jong Ellen de Jong has spent 37 years caring for patients across Family Medicine, obstetrics, Urgent Care, Geriatrics, and Hospice care. She built and managed her own private practice, led and taught within a large health system, and now serves as Hospital Commissioner—always striving to improve healthcare for her community. At home, she finds joy and inspiration in her diverse family of eight children, including five international adoptees, and two grandchildren. Her love of cooking, reading, travel, and the Pacific Northwest parks reflects her gratitude for life’s simple pleasures and her commitment to making a difference. Ashley Gregorius Commissioner (read more) Ashley Gregorius Ashley Gregorius is a dedicated mother of two and an accomplished professional with a diverse background in special education, nonprofits, and optometry. After co-founding an optometry practice with her spouse, she successfully expanded it into a full-service practice and specialized med spa focusing on dry eye treatment. Her commitment extends beyond the medical field, as she actively engages with local nonprofits, advocating for quality healthcare and providing support to parents in need. Ashley’s passion for excellence in patient care and community involvement drives her role as a hospital commissioner, where she strives to make a positive impact for all families and community members. Jeri Kaufman Commissioner (read more) Jeri Kaufman Through her extensive volunteer involvement and professional career, Jeri has connected with the communities of Skagit County and hospital district 304. Since 2012, Jeri has served on the board of commissioners and advocated for the health of our residents. As a member of the board during the affiliation agreement with PeaceHealth, she is proud of the world-class care available to our community and of the growing health and wellness programming available through District 304. Greg Thramer Commissioner (read more) Greg Thramer Greg worked in local government as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and finance director for more than 30 years before retiring. Greg’s experience working with cities, school and port districts, and counties has provided a solid foundation for the role of commissioner which began in 2022. He has pledged a commitment to maintaining high quality local care and enhancing the range of services provided by District 304. He also enjoys serving the community as a longtime member of the Burlington-Edison Kiwanis Club.
