View cookies Biography Joanne is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) with fifteen years’ experience of finance in local government in county and unitary authorities and three years’ experience as a Civil Servant in finance and commercial roles. She brings a wealth of financial experience which will be used to help us to overcome the corporate challenges of today and to achieve our future ambitions. She joined the Inspectorate in January 2020 as Head of Finance and Commercial, taking over the role of Interim Director of Corporate Services in September 2022 and then being appointed as Chief Finance Officer in July 2023. Chief Finance Officer, Planning Inspectorate The Planning Inspectorate deals with all planning appeals in England, including national infrastructure planning, listed building appeals and rights of way orders. This role attends the Planning Inspectorate board meetings as a member.
