Schedule of Classes
Understanding Modes of Instruction:
CSULB classes may be listed on the schedule as having one or more of the following formats available:
Face-to-face on-campus
: in-person class meetings at scheduled days and times on campus
Face-to-face off-campus:
in-person class meetings at scheduled days and times at a community site
Hybrid with synchronous online:
some face-to-face instruction and some synchronous (scheduled days and times) online class meeting
Hybrid with asynchronous online:
some face-to-face instruction and some asynchronous (no scheduled meeting times) online components
Hyflex:
enrolled in face-to-face instruction, meeting at scheduled days and times
Please note that camera use may be required for synchronous and/or mixed online classes. Students in need of technology support resources may email Academic Technology Services at
ats-help@csulb.edu
.
Synchronous online:
all classes will be remote at scheduled days and times
Asynchronous online:
no scheduled day and time, so students can complete work at different times throughout the week
Mixed online:
all classes will be remote, with some meetings at scheduled days and times and some asynchronous work
Hyflex:
enrolled in synchronous online instruction, meeting at scheduled days and times

CSULB offers
Day 1 Textbook Access
where students are charged a flat fee for all their required textbooks ($250 for full-time and $165 for part-time). Students may elect to opt out of this program. Therefore, costs may vary dramatically among external retail sites.

You can view offerings by Academic Subject, College, or General Education Category by using the buttons at the top of each page. Course lists are updated regularly to reflect the latest changes in the official schedule.
You can get up to the minute, detailed information on course offerings by using
MyCSULB Student Center
. Once you sign in, select the “Search for Classes” option under “My Menu.” This option allows you to search by subject area, course, day or time, instructor, GE area, courses with available seats, and much more!

Reserved Seats (Reserve Capacity)
Introducing an exciting new registration feature to help students enroll in the classes they need for their program and stay on track with their academic goals. Reserved seats or reserved capacity is a new functionality we have added to the registration system beginning Fall 2018 that can save a certain number of seats for a specific group of students during registration. SB 1359 – Zero Cost Course Materials
California Community Colleges and California State Universities now include a no cost symbol in the online campus course schedule that exclusively use digital course materials that are free of charge to students and therefore not required to be purchased. Please look for the no cost icon
