All Albright students, faculty and staff who want or need to park a vehicle on campus
must register for a parking pass
. This must be done in person. Parking permits are available at any time, day or night, 365 days a year by visiting the Public Safety office in room 124, on the lower level of the Center for the Arts.
Parking passes ensure that Public Safety guardss can monitor vehicle safety and notify a vehicle’s owner in the event of a problem, such as lights left on, a flat tire, or a vehicle break-in or damage.
Temporary parking permits for guests
visiting a student for up to three days are also
available in the Public Safety office
. Short-term visitors should use parking spaces marked for visitors, with no need for a pass.
A parking pass
must be displayed on the rearview mirror of the registered vehicle with the permit number facing out
, so it is visible and readable through the windshield. There is a $40 parking registration fee, which students will see in their student account. The fee for replacing a lost parking pass is also $40.  Parking fines for violations are also applied to a student’s account.
Employees who change vehicles must obtain a new parking pass sticker. If an employee wishes to register multiple vehicles, they must do so via the Public Safety office.
Unauthorized vehicles will be towed
if parked in a fire lane, handicapped parking space, or when multiple parking violations are issued to the same unregistered vehicle. Fines for parking violations are listed below. First-time offenders receive a one-time warning only if their fines are below $50.
Unregistered vehicle/No current parking permit - $50
Improperly displayed permit/sticker - $25
Parking in a reserved space or lot - $25
Unauthorized parking in fire lane or handicapped spot - $200
Parking in a loading zone, on sidewalk or grass - $75
Parking in a no parking/no driving zone - $75
Parking for longer than 15 minutes in restricted spot - $20
Part of Public Safety’s commitment to the health and safety of our community centers on timely and efficient communication with every student, professor and staff member. To keep everyone informed,  Albright uses the Everbridge™ emergency alert system - available via an app - to send emails, texts messages and other alerts to covey emergency notifications, such as inclement weather details, power outages and facilities closures.
The
Everbridge™ app
