Our Counselors are here to help you through the entire admissions process
Our admission counselors are here to support you throughout your journey to NC Wesleyan—whether you’re a high school student, transfer applicant, or applying to one of our graduate/certificate programs.
We make Wesleyan
PERSONAL
in so many ways. Often, this is accomplished through connections with
our admissions team in the early part of the recruitment process. Open houses, new student convocation,
one-to-one mentoring with faculty and staff, social events, enrichment programs, student clubs, sports
teams, and other activities reinforce personal connections. These connections develop more profoundly
into the family and community atmosphere that many of our students positively acknowledge.
This
atmosphere is the number one reason students choose Wesleyan and stay at Wesleyan.
Those close
connections, research opportunities, and the ability to be active in our community, support our
mission, vision, and core values.
Prospective students and school counselors can find their NC Wesleyan University admission counselors by selecting one of the blocks below. These individuals will serve as your primary point of contact with the Office of Admission.

More Facts About Me!
What’s your hometown?
Nashville, North Carolina
Why did you choose to work at NCWU?
After 4 years of being a student-athlete on the NCWU Women’s Soccer team, I decided that I could not say goodbye just yet. I love getting to meet with students and families from all over the United States and helping give them the experience that NC Wesleyan gave me. I will never take for granted the friendships I made here, the experience I had as a student and an athlete, and the connections I formed with my professors.
What School(s) did you attend and degree(s) earned?
North Carolina Wesleyan University, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice & Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude), 2018
North Carolina Wesleyan University, Masters of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ), Class of 2020
What’s your favorite eastern NC activity?
There are so many awesome things to do in eastern NC but some of my favorite activities are attending Carolina Hurricanes’ hockey games, going to local coffee shops and thrift stores, and traveling to the Outer Banks on the North Carolina coast.
What’s your Tip(s) for incoming students?
Your college experience is everything that you make it! Make those connections and get involved as much as you can. You never know what friendships you’ll make and what lifelong memories you’ll create.
What’s your Tip(s) for applicants?
Even though NCWU has rolling admissions, we encourage you to submit your application once it becomes available and also never be afraid to ask for help or clarification at any point. We are here to help you throughout the entire process and make sure your transition from high school to college is as smooth as possible!
Another interesting fact about me.
As a member of the NCWU Women’s Soccer team, I was able to travel to Italy during my senior year. While we were there, we were able to tour multiple parts of Italy and play in three different international matches.
Anything else that you think a prospective student would like to know about coming to NCWU?
The best way to help solidify a college choice is by getting on campus! We would love to have you schedule a campus visit and/or register for one of our open houses so that we can meet with you and help you discover all of the wonderful things NC Wesleyan University has to offer!

More Facts About Me!
What’s your hometown?
Fayetteville, NC
Why did you choose to work at NCWU?
After graduating from graduate school in Winter Park, Florida, many plans changed, which geared me toward being closer to my family in North Carolina. NC Wesleyan University had an open position for an Admissions Counselor. After my interview, I was quickly placed as the International Admissions Counselor!
What School(s) did you attend and degree(s) earned?
Central Carolina Community College, Associate of Arts degree, 2017
Full Sail University, BS in Recording Arts and also MS in Entertainment Business, 2021
At Central Carolina, I was a member of the Phi Beta Lambda Business Club and was able to collect and exercise business skills. I then decided to attend Full Sail University in 2020 where I received an audio engineering degree as well as an MS in Entertainment Business, a business degree with a focus on the Entertainment Industry (i.e., videogames, music, film, etc.).
What’s your favorite eastern NC activity?
My favorite eastern NC activity is to go thrift store shopping with my mom. There are so many unique and random items you can find.
What’s your Tip(s) for incoming students?
Communication is key, which means you should learn the difference between active and passive listening.
Another interesting fact about me.
I was Jr. Miss Filipino American (Fil-Am) of 2008 and Miss Fil-Am of 2011 in the Filipino American Club of Fayetteville, NC.
Anything else that you think a prospective student would like to know about coming to NCWU?
It is ok when plans change because many interesting information is shared, and many interesting decisions are made when plans change. It is your reaction that creates your character.

More Facts About Me!
What’s your Hometown?
I am originally from Wilson, NC – 30 minutes away from campus! However, I have lived in Rocky Mount for the past 5 years.
Why did you choose to work at NCWU?
After working as a student ambassador in the Admissions Office during my junior and senior years, I knew I loved to work with students and families. I was offered a job in the summer of 2020, and working here for the last 2.5 years has been the best! I love my work family, as well as each new prospective student I have the privilege of helping experience the opportunities NC Wesleyan has to offer!
What School(s) did you attend and degree(s) earned:
I am a proud 2018 alumna of NC Wesleyan! I graduated with a double BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice.
What’s your Favorite eastern NC activity?
I currently live at the Rocky Mount Mills, downtown. I enjoy the coffee shop right outside my front door, as well as supporting the local breweries that also reside there!
What’s your Tip(s) for incoming students:
Get involved in as much as you can on campus. Your college experience is what you make it, and being involved in clubs, campus jobs, athletics, going to events, etc. will only enhance your experience and expose you to people from all over the world that you would not get the privilege to meet otherwise!
What’s your Tip(s) for applicants?
Visit campus! Schedule a visit, come for an Open House, and take advantage of any other opportunities to visit. There is nothing like seeing the campus in person, meeting the faculty/staff/current students, and being able to picture yourself here.
Another interesting fact about me.
I collect old teapots! My favorite thing is to go to an estate sale, thrift store, or yard sale and find teapots to add to my collection! I have tiny ones and oversized ones, and each one is unique!
