The Mississippi Entomological Museum (MEM) maintains a world-class research collection of more than three million insect specimens from the southeastern United States and around the world.
Our mission is to advance the study of insect biodiversity, provide high-quality insect-focused education, support the management of insect pests, and train the next generation of entomologists. The collection continues to grow under the care of our curators and collections staff, who lead active research programs in cutting-edge insect science.
