The students used the chemotherapy hood to make a chemotherapy product. This is different from making other parenteral products as you use larger gloves and have a barrier between you and the product. Afterwards, the students rounded on a hospital patient (mannequin) that was experiencing a life threatening emergency and the students had to perform CPR (including chest compressions), shock the patient, and draw up medications at the bedside to give to the patient simulating a real-life code blue scenario. The students were able to perform the necessary steps to revive the patient.
