NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit at REVA University is an active platform for student volunteers to engage in community service, social responsibility, and nation-building.Established with the vision of developing the personality of students through community engagement, the NSS unit embodies the ideals of “Not Me, But You”, inspiring students to dedicate their time and effort to the service of society.
At REVA University, the NSS Unit functions under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and actively involves students from various schools and departments. The unit focuses on instilling a sense of social commitment, civic responsibility, leadership, and team spirit through a wide range of outreach and extension activities.
Objectives of NSS at REVA University:
To promote awareness among students about social and environmental issues.
To foster a spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility.
To develop leadership and interpersonal skills through community interaction.
To contribute towards nation-building by participating in local and national development programs.
Vision
To develop socially responsible, empathetic, and proactive youth through community engagement, service learning, and sustainable development initiatives.

To involve students in constructive social activities.
To develop leadership qualities and social sensitivity.
To integrate academic learning with societal needs and national development goals.

Health & Wellness Campaigns
Organizing health check-up camps, blood donation drives, yoga sessions, and awareness programs on mental health, nutrition, and hygiene.
National & Social Observances
Celebrating days of national importance such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, and NSS Day with parades, rallies, and cultural programs.
Special Camps & Community Engagement
Annual NSS Special Camps are organized in adopted villages, focusing on socio-economic development through hands-on service, skill-building, and capacity development.
Collaborative Programs
Working with NGOs, government departments, and foundations on projects involving education, heritage preservation, gender sensitization, road safety, and disaster management.
