Providing accurate information, including any learning needs, helps us ensure ISD can best support your child. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the admission decision or continued enrollment.
Our Admissions Committee, including the Principal, Counselor, English as an Additional Language Teachers, Learning Support, and a grade-level teacher (as needed), carefully reviews each application. The Principal determines final grade placement and the admissions decision.
Please note that final acceptance is granted after the successful completion of an academic screening and a meeting with the Principal, when requested. We look forward to getting to know your child!
To ensure a successful placement, all applicants complete an academic screening in math, reading, and writing. Students learning English as an Additional Language (EAL) may also be asked to meet with our EAL specialist and in some cases are requested to come for Visit Day with Elementary School.
Following the screening, in some cases, students may be asked to meet with the Principal. In some cases, a provisional admission may be offered for a limited time to fully understand a student's learning background. Continued enrollment depends on the student's progress in mainstream classes.
We aim to ensure we can effectively meet each child's learning needs.
Once your child is accepted, they can often start classes shortly after their screening and interview. We'll send the official acceptance letter and enrollment contract via email. To secure your child's place, please sign and return the contract to our Business Office within two days. They will then issue an invoice for school fees.
If you have any questions about fees or payment, please contact our Business Office at finance_isd@isd.sn. You can also view our full Admissions Procedure for more details.
