The Latin American Business Environment (LABE) program is for students with a keen interest in Latin America who seek to acquire the analytical skills for careers in business, non-government organizations, and government. The program also serves the general public and business community through speaking engagements and publications, including the annual Latin American Business Environment report (LABER).

Goals of the UF Latin American Business Environment (LABE) Program
Provide an understanding of the economic, political, and social factors that shape the business climate in Latin America
Prepare students for careers in the global workplace
Promote the interdisciplinary approach of Latin American studies through coursework in business, economics, language, and culture
Provide opportunities for mentoring with alumni and “real-world” learning through internships and study abroad
How can Latin America and Business enhance your career opportunities?
There are many career options for individuals with knowledge of Latin America and business expertise. Employers ranging from government entities, multinational corporations, educational institutions, to law firms seek well-rounded individuals who understand diverse work environments and can adapt to a rapidly changing global workplace. The LABE program provides an interdisciplinary approach combining training of foundational business concepts, intercultural skills, and regional knowledge that prepares students to effectively navigate an increasingly complex world.
