View cookies Statistics Statistics at Planning Inspectorate The Planning Inspectorate publishes statistics on how the organisation is performing, the volume of cases received and decided, and how many appeals have been allowed. Planning Inspectorate Statistical releases The statistics release and tables published by The Planning Inspectorate. These include the following releases, which are updated every quarter. Planning Inspectorate statistical release , covering appeal and specialist casework: how long these cases take and volume of casework. It also includes the number of Inspectors. Planning Inspectorate ministerial measures , covering proportion of cases valid on first submission, how long appeals take, customer satisfaction and the number of cases quality assured. Planning Inspectorate Casework Database , detailed information on the Planning Inspectorate’s casework decisions over a 10 year rolling period. Quarterly and Annual Volume Statistics , Numbers of applications, examinations, appeals and orders that have been received, decided and allowed, on a quarterly and annual basis. The planned publication dates for the coming year for all of these statistics releases. Freedom of Information requests Responses to Freedom of Information requests are published by the Planning Inspectorate. Ad hoc analyses and statistics Additional statistical analyses that have not been previously included in any of our standard statistical releases. Pre-release access to official statistics The principles and rules governing UK government ministers and officials’ access to official statistics in their final form before publication are set out in The Pre-release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008 . This order forms part of the Code of Practice for Official Statistics against which key statistics are assessed for compliance by the UK Statistics Authority.
