The Studio – Bath Spa University The Studio The Studio at Palace Yard Mews is Bath Spa University’s city centre home for innovation, research, and enterprise. The Studio provides a space for local micro-businesses, Bath Spa University students, academics, and graduates to work on projects and ideas which focus on creativity and technology. It is also a venue to share learning through regular workshops, events and activities which are open to the wider community. Our residents As a resident of The Studio you’ll benefit from: Access to a supportive network of innovators and thinkers Free coworking desk space (including utility costs) in our city centre location for up to 12 months Free WIFI access Bookable meeting rooms and breakout spaces Free workshops and events In return we ask residents to play an active part in The Studio, through engaging with activity in the building, supporting fellow residents, and in doing so, helping  to expand, grow and support The Studio’s community. The Studio also provides fixed desk space on the second floor which are charged on a monthly basis. You can apply to be a resident via our online form . There are several initiatives being run out of The Studio: The South West Creative Technology Network (SWCTN) is a £6.5 million Research England funded project to expand the use of creative technologies across the south west of England. The project is a joint venture between Bath Spa University, UWE, University of Plymouth, Falmouth University, Watershed in Bristol and Kaleider in Exeter. Bristol + Bath Creative R+D project is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between digital creativity centre Watershed and the region’s four universities - UWE Bristol, Bath Spa, the University of Bath and the University of Bristol - intends to break down doors, connecting the worlds of university research and creative business to develop a shared vision for tomorrow’s creative industries. Paper Nations is a creative writing incubator, commissioning writers throughout the South West of England to create new work, nurturing local communities of support for writers, and creating multi-channel partnerships to showcase new writing internationally. This is her first blog post. Introducing the creatives How to find us The Studio is based at 10 Palace Yard Mews in the centre of Bath. We are a 10 minute walk from Bath Spa train station. If you are arriving by car the closest car park is the Charlotte Street car park , which is a few minutes walk away. There is an entry system on the main front door to the Studio. To contact The Studio office press the first floor buzzer for entry.
