KY Birthday Bash
May 30 10 AM-2PM
Join us in celebrating both Kentucky’s upcoming birthday, and the nearing America
250 anniversary at the KY Museum.
Enjoy children’s activities, history demonstrations, performances, musicians, artisans,
food trucks and much more.
This project is supported with funding from the America250KY Commission and the Kentucky
Historical Society.
Women and Agency- History 101 Quilt Project
March 18 through April 29, 2026
Professor Kathryn Reetzke's HIST 101 students worked on on this project fall semester
2025. Ninety-four students made squares using embroidery with the theme of the course
"Women and Agency" in mind. Learn more

The Exhibits Development Specialist serves as a key member of the museum team, responsible
for securing financial support and curatorial partnerships that enable the creation,
enhancement, and sustainability of museum exhibits and related programming. Learn

Current WKU students, or incoming freshmen, learn more about being a student docent
and apply
online to work
for the museum this fall.
Travel Funds for Field Trips
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides travel reimbursement funds
to Kentucky schools for field trips to the Kentucky Museum with state tax dollars
and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
