Powerful, progressive and purposeful
The Rosehill Secondary College community is aware of its duty of care toward students and is committed to ensuring their safety and well-being. It is a safe and effective school with a consistent, whole-school student welfare and behaviour management system in place.
Student well-being and emotional intelligence are of paramount importance and provide a sound basis for academic and social development. House Captain, School Captain and Class Captain systems provide authentic student leadership opportunities and the Peer Support Program promotes strong cross-age relationship development.
The school environment is monitored on a day-to-day basis and the large school grounds offer a range of safe areas with easily accessible sporting areas and equipment.
There is an effective anti-bullying policy and student well-being is monitored throughout the year.
Strategic Plan
Rosehill Secondary College has developed a new strategic plan which will take the College through to the end of 2026. In general it has the following goals:
To maximise the learning growth of every student.
Build teacher capability to plan, facilitate and evaluate differentiated, inclusive, student-centred learning.
To improve student outcomes particularly in Numeracy and Literacy
Maintain the high level of VCE results.
Strengthen pedagogical practice to activate learner agency to collectively improve student outcomes.
Develop and implement common language, understanding and practices for student voice and agency.
Empower students to actively take responsibility and ownership of their learning and wellbeing.
