Alumnae Advisory Council Class Representatives Mount Mentors Advancement The MSDA Alumnae Council encompasses representatives from across the decades, who gather together in the spring, summer and winter, with the goal of strengthening the bonds between Mount St. Dominic Academy and the amazing women of our alumnae community. The passing years can make staying in touch a bit challenging, but with help from our network of Class Representatives who work their magic with everything from social media to snail mail, each year we reconnect with more of our alumnae. Starting with the Senior Capstone in Directed Research, which partners alumnae mentors with Capstone seniors, we are working to harness the vast expertise and strength of the Mount alumnae community for the mutual benefit of our students and alumnae. Facilitating these connections helps guide our current students along their academic journey and drives increased peer-to-peer networking opportunities for our alumnae while building positive professional and social connections. According to “Women and Giving: the Impact of Generation and Gender on Philanthropy,” conducted by Fidelity Charitable, women have a “heart-first approach” to their charitable giving and view their philanthropy as an extension of their sense of self. Mount alumnae, committed to the mission of the school and its continued success, are overwhelmingly giving of their time, talent and treasure, and are the cornerstone of the school’s philanthropic community.
