Addressing gender equity is among the founding principles of OLP. We bring the spirit of addressing inequity with us in our work of intentionally building a culture of unity.
We are
committed to intentional work
around diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of the academic curriculum, student clubs, student leadership retreats, investment in professional development, and more.
OLP strives to
cultivate an inclusive environment
that welcomes people of any color, race, ethnicity, or faith. Inclusivity is deeply rooted in our Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet mission and their calls to action. We invite you to dive deeper into the
history of the CSJ
.

Our Commitment to Building a Culture of Unifying Love
OLP's Partners
In 2018, our Head of School was introduced to Dr. Steven Jones. Dr. Jones is an expert on inclusion and founded
Jones
with the goal of making a widespread positive impact in the world of diversity, inclusion, and organizational excellence.
Dr. Jones has partnered with OLP to lead conversations with our students, faculty, staff, and parents. Our community has learned so much from Dr. Jones and his team. Under the direction of Dr. Jones, we will continue to "skill-up" our intentionally inclusive practices, and ensure equity in the processes and systems within our organization.
In Spring 2022, OLP happily welcomed Dr. Steven Jones as a member of the
Board of Trustees
.
Unifying Love Logo - Interpretative Message
Our community foundation to DEIB stems from our founding order The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet (CSJ), and the charism of "Unifying Love." This foundational cornerstone makes space for each of our individual identities and teaches us to provide the welcoming culture of belonging for all.
As we live out the CSJ principles within our catholic high school community, we feel it important to anchor ourselves to an integrated symbolic representation of this beautiful, inherited culture that welcomes each of us within the heart of its message. The CSJ began with teaching women the art and skill of lacemaking; as you look to the imagery of the lace logo consider yourself a thread within the beautiful product of the whole. A thread that thrives in its singular identity, yet is wholly connected to the bigger picture and thus integral to the completed design.
It is our hope that through this symbolism each student, employee and guest will feel the culture of belonging that is inherent within our school community.
