Find out more English Heritage Position Statements Reshaping English Heritage English Heritage has been reviewing its structure and developing a series of proposals that will allow the charity to meet the opportunities and challenges of the next few years from a position of strength. Stonehenge – Just Stop Oil protest English Heritage has removed the orange powdered paint thrown on Stonehenge and thankfully there appears to be no visible damage. We are deeply saddened by the vandalism of such a special site but are looking forward to welcoming people to the Summer Solstice celebrations. King Charles III England Coast Path – The Isle of Wight and Osborne For several years, English Heritage has been actively involved in discussions about the proposal that the King Charles III England Coast Path would go through Osborne, Queen Victoria’s seaside home, on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately, the unique security and conservation challenges posed by the path to this historic site couldn’t be overcome and we are not able to facilitate access. Conservation work at Walmer Castle English Heritage is preparing to undertake urgent repairs to Walmer Castle in order to conserve the building and its important historic collection for future generations.
