Kathryn Sissel
Long-Term Care Social Worker
Kathryn Sissel’s devotion to Dunklau Gardens and the Methodist family is deeply personal.
“I work here because I love the company culture and values they follow,” she said.
Sissel knows the kind of people who work for Methodist because they were firmly by her side when she lost her youngest daughter to stage 4 cancer. From the nurses, doctors and pastor in the Emergency Department at Methodist Fremont Health to the director of nursing and administrator at Dunklau Gardens, Sissel called the outpouring of support humbling. She said she knew her daughter “was in loving hands for her next transition.”
Sissel joined the Dunklau Gardens family as an admissions specialist before becoming a long-term care social worker. She previously worked in geriatric care as an activity assistant, social service assistant and social services director.
