Boarding Houses
Each House has its own character and is designed to suit its age group, with welcoming common rooms, kitchens and study areas. Younger pupils share small dorms, progressing to single bedrooms for boarders from Year 10, and ultimately to university-style ensuite study bedrooms in the Sixth Form.

St Prisca’s, Lower School House
St Prisca’s is home to our Year 7 and 8 pupils in the Lower School. For our youngest community, it offers a caring, family-style base where routines are gently learned, friendships made and confidence begins to grow. Dorms are shared in small groups, helping girls feel instantly connected and supported.
Life at St Prisca’s is full of shared moments from meals and evening toast to clubs, trips and cosy House traditions. Each small step is celebrated and every girl feels supported.

St Cecilia’s – Year 9
St Cecilia’s is ideal for girls in Year 9 where they are moving up from St Prisca’s or joining St Mary’s for the first time.
Leadership roles, co-curricular clubs and lively weekends bring variety and fun, while caring House staff support every girl through the opportunities and challenges of this formative year. Friendships deepen, confidence grows, and girls leave St Cecilia’s ready for GCSE choices and focused academic study ahead.

Gibbins and Joyce Walters – Years 10 and 11
Gibbins and Joyce Walters are home for our Year 10 and 11 pupils. Both houses blend academic guidance with a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring school life remains sociable and fun as well as academically stretching. From Year 10 boarders move into single study bedrooms, with shared common rooms and study areas.
Providing continuity and stability as pupils prepare for GCSEs, the year group remain together in the same house for Year 10 and 11. A time for growing independence, pupils learn to manage their own routines, take responsibility and make the most of opportunities around them – preparing them for Sixth Form.

Helen Wright and Florence Dyas
The Sixth Form Houses, comprising two separate but interconnected modern purpose buildings, Helen Wright and Florence Dyas, are simply outstanding. Both Houses have university-style ensuite study bedrooms, preparing our Sixth Form for life after school. Designed for growing independence and privacy while keeping a strong House community, Sixth Form Houses offer shared meals, socials and a stylish setting.
In the Sixth Form, students take on schoolwide leadership roles, manage their own routines and explore new opportunities, both academic and personal.
