Celebrating Fête de la Francophonie on Campus
This month, we celebrated La Fête de la Francophonie, highlighting the global significance of the French language and French-speaking countries. This year's celebration included music, poems, and food. It helps our students broaden their views of the world and the French language.
Celebrating Lunar New Year
French International celebrated the Lunar New Year by engaging students in activities such as storytelling, crafts, and performances. This celebration emphasized global cultural understanding and aligned with our mission to develop empathy and respect among students, marking the Year of the Horse.
Sixth Grade - An Interconnected World
Sixth graders completed their second unit, "An Interconnected World," focusing on the global spread of languages and cultures. For their final assessment, students wrote articles reflecting on their experiences at French International and what languages the school should add.
Grandparents & Special Friends Day Brings Community Together on Campus
On November 21, French International hosted its annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day, welcoming nearly 500 guests to celebrate our students and the school. Guests enjoyed student performances and then got to see the classes in action.
Middle School Uses Half Day to Build Community
French International Middle School uses half days throughout the year to promote collaboration and belonging. Eighth-grade students plan community day events, fostering connections across grade levels. The November 7 Community Day included engaging activities and presentations of community projects, aligned with the IB philosophy of making an impact.
