Teens – Forbes Library Skip to Content Forbes Library is dedicated to imagination, community, and the pursuit of wonder. Libraries are a place of exploration and offer a well of resources for writing papers, making art, and doing research. For tweens and teens, libraries are an important third place between school and home; a place for homework, hanging out with friends, and relaxing. Our Young Adult Room has comfortable seating and space to work, read, or simply hang out. In addition to teen books and audiobooks, we have: New PCs with gaming-ready headsets Starter sets for RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Daggerheart, and more a Teen Art Cart with coloring and crafting supplies a Zine Library, where you can leave your own homemade zines and take home what other zinesters have made board games to play here or check out Teen-only monthly groups like our Teen Graphic Novel Club For more information about our teen services, feel free to call the Children’s & Young Adult department at (413) 587-1010 or email childrens@forbeslibrary.org. Volunteering at Forbes Beginning in Fall 2026, we’ll be welcoming teen volunteers weekly to design programs, prep crafts, organize books, and more. If you have any questions in the meantime, email childrens@forbeslibrary.org Transportation & Accessibility A short walk from downtown, you can get to Forbes by bus, bike,  foot, or car. The library is wheelchair and stroller accessible and has gender neutral bathrooms on all floors. Forbes also delivers books to patrons with low mobility throughout the Northampton area. There are three ways to access the Children’s and Young Adult department, which is located on the lowest level of the building: the staircase entrance on the west side of the building, the staircase from the main level, and the elevator from the main level.
