Undergraduate Mission Statement The School of Business Administration (DBA) seeks to develop students who will graduate with qualities of human and ethical morality, intellectual excellence, and a passion for hard work. In addition, DBA seeks to develop students who possess high interpersonal skills, exceptional communication skills, technical, and theoretical skills. Moreover, each graduate of the DBA must be able to function effectively in both the corporate and private sectors and also to be successful in graduate and professional studies, and to compete successfully in entrepreneurship. The Business Administration program offers concentrations in Accounting, Finance/Banking, Management, and Marketing, and aspires to be a center of excellence, where our graduates can be part of our future scholars and leaders. Accounting Concentration The purpose of the Business Administration program with a concentration in Accounting is to prepare students for graduate and professional schools, and for entry level accounting positions. Students will also have skills as business consultants, public accountants, and auditors. Finance and Banking Concentration The objectives of the Business Administration Program with a concentration in Finance and Banking are to prepare students for graduate and professional schools. The curriculum includes a general core of courses and a variety of major courses emphasizing banking, investment, and stock market analyses. Management Concentration The purpose of the Business Administration Program with a concentration in Management is to prepare students for graduate and professional schools, and for entry-level management positions. Students will also develop skills to pursue entrepreneurship. Marketing Concentration The purpose of the Business Administration Program with a concentration in Marketing is to prepare students for graduate and professional school, and for entry level managerial positions. Graduates of this program will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop and implement managerial programs to accomplish strategic marketing objectives in both the non-profit and profit sectors. Graduate Mission Statement The mission of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is to provide students skillsets to compete in the global marketplace in functional business areas and as professional business leaders/executives. The MBA mission statement is aligned with the college’s mission statement. The program serves vertical markets that will be fueled by creating meaningful relationships with corporate and academic partners. The MBA program also creates innovative learners to provide consistent, personalized, and proactive customer service. Program Overview Talladega College offers a flexible, affordable, and 100% online or hybrid MBA graduate program. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) with seven concentrations is designed to be completed in as few as 18 months. With year-round classes, online and hybrid course options, you can complete your Master's Degree program on a schedule that suits your needs. The MBA is program is 30 semester credit hours in length with a 21-semester credit hour core for individuals with a prior business degree. There are three prerequisite courses (6 credit hours / 2 credits per class) that do not count towards your degree for individuals with a non-business undergraduate degree. The following seven concentrations are available: Accounting Entrepreneurship Finance Healthcare Administration Logistics Management Marketing The program is designed to be completed in less than 18 months if students elect to take a maximum of six or nine hours each semester as a full-time student. However, the student has the option to complete the program in 18 months or more. The program will include seven required core courses (21 credit hours), providing a mix of theoretical underpinning, technical skills, and business management perspectives and seven concentration tracks for (9 credit hours) to equal a total of 30 credit hours required for degree completion.
