Avalanche Information for the Scottish Mountains

We have now finished issuing avalanche reports for the winter. Be aware that there are still some significant snow accumulations in the higher mountains. In general, the snowpack is gradually thawing and consolidating in the warmer temperatures. Be aware of potential cornice collapse, wet snow and full depth avalanches as the thaw continues. As always, use your own observations of snow stability to guide your activities
