Experiential Education at Denver Academy
Experiential Education — the act of learning through doing and then reflecting — is an integral part of Denver Academy's curriculum throughout the school year. Experiential Education is designed to provide students with a wide range of academic, personal, physical, community, and social challenges outside the regular classroom.
In addition to our year-round curriculum, DA typically offers special Experiential Education Immersive (EEI) opportunities the week before Spring Break. EEI experiences are provided on campus for Elementary/6th Grade students. For grades seven through twelve, students have the opportunity to select the Experiential Education Immersive in which they would like to participate, including both on- and off-campus opportunities.
Experiential Education Immersive (EEI)
Our Experiential Education Immersive (EEI) offers students a unique opportunity to “learn by doing and reflecting” while mingling with students from other grades/divisions, working with teachers from other grades/divisions, and fully immersing themselves in transformative experiences.
EEI experiences for students in grades 7-12 are not included in regular DA tuition but include a wide range of units in all price ranges, starting at $0. Units offered are on-campus, local (in the Denver metro area), regional (overnight within driving distance from DA), national, and international. This year, Experiential Education Immersive days are Wednesday, March 18 through Friday, March 20, 2026, although some units are longer.
