The Neuberger Museum of Art is a vibrant hub of creativity, learning, and inspiration for all ages! Located at the heart of Purchase College, SUNY, our Museum invites you to explore breathtaking exhibitions of modern, contemporary, and African art, along with dynamic events that spark thought and conversation.
Founded in 1969 with a generous gift of 300 works from Roy R. Neuberger, a pioneering philanthropist and arts advocate, our collection has expanded to nearly 7,000 objects. Here, you’ll encounter masterpieces by renowned artists such as Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Alexander Calder, Stuart Davis, Helen Frankenthaler, Marsden Hartley, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, Louise Nevelson, Jackson Pollock, Hedda Sterne, Rufino Tamayo, Max Weber, and Zao Wou-Ki alongside objects by living artists including Chakaia Booker, the Guerrilla Girls, and Judy Pfaff, to name just a few.
We also honor exceptional contemporary artists with the
Roy R. Neuberger Prize
, continuing our founder’s commitment to supporting emerging talent and making art accessible to all.
