Before Care
After Care
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is available to students in the dining room starting at 7:35 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Breakfast Club is free of charge and offered on a drop-in basis. (No registration required)
Wednesday Mornings
Before Care is offered for Lower and Middle School students on Wednesday mornings when classes begin at 9:10 a.m. because of Holton faculty and staff professional development. Before Care supervision runs from 7:45 to 9 a.m.
Lower School Morning Care takes place in the LS Gathering Area; Middle School Morning Care meets in the MS Study Hall. The Dining Room is not open on Wednesday mornings for breakfast an is not served to students.
Pre-registration for Before Care by 11 p.m. Tuesday night is preferred. The rate is $12.50 per day.
Any student arriving to school before 9 a.m. on Wednesdays will be required to attend. Students arriving at or before 8:45 a.m. who are not pre-enrolled will be billed as drop-ins.
Registration information for Wednesday Before Care for Lower and Middle School students will be provided in the first Sunday Skim (All School Parent/Guardian Newsletter) of the school year.

Extended Day After Care is offered for Lower and Middle School students from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Extended Day programs begin on the first day of school. Registration information will be in the first Sunday Skim of the year.

Classes begin at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesdays so that Holton employees can participate in professional development, collaborate across departments and grade levels, and attend school-wide meetings. For Lower and Middle School students, we are pleased to offer Before-Care supervision from 7:45 to 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.
Lower School Morning Care
takes place in the LS Gathering Area;
Middle School Morning Care
meets in the MS Study Hall.

PROWL Lower School After Care Program
PROWL (Play, Reflect, Observe, Wonder, Learn)
At Holton-Arms, we are committed to providing a safe, structured, and engaging after-school experience for our students. Our Aftercare Program PROWL offers families flexibility while maintaining clear routines and expectations to ensure a smooth transition from the school day. Families will have the option to register by the Trimester for Daily Supervised Extended Day or Enrichment Opportunities.
All students staying after school—whether for Extended Day, Enrichment Classes, drop-in teacher led meetings, or other programs—will first check in at the designated gathering area with the Extended Day Coordinator. Students will be signed in and then logged in to SchoolPass to ensure accurate attendance. A snack will be provided to all participating students.
Extended Day is available Monday through Friday until 6 p.m.
Daily Supervised Extended Day
Our Extended Day program provides a warm, welcoming environment for students to relax, recharge, and connect with friends after the school day ends. After checking in, students head outside for some much-needed fresh air and supervised play, where they can run and play games.
Back indoors, students can choose from a variety of activities tailored to their interests, whether it's diving into homework in a designated homework room with the Upper School tutors, getting creative with crafts, or playing board games and building projects with friends.
Families register their student(s) for the full trimester,
by the day
in either of the following time blocks:
3:30-4:45 p.m.
3:30-6 p.m.
PROWL Enrichment Classes
The Lower School PROWL Enrichment Program will offer students the opportunity to participate in after-school programming that they already love, try new activities, and deepen the learning the learning they do in the classroom. Offerings will include activities such as musical theater, improv, STEAM, yoga, chess, jewelry making, Girls on the Run, robotics, and MORE! Classes will be offered by the Trimester and may differ trimester to trimester.
PROWL Enrichment classes are offered from 3:45-4:45 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Registration for the Fall Trimester of Daily Supervised Extended Day and PROWL Enrichment Classes will begin two weeks prior to the start of school.
Middle School Extended Day
Extended Day After Care is also available for Middle School students who must remain on campus after the school day has ended at 3:30 p.m. Adult supervision and snacks are provided. Its mission is to provide students the opportunity to work on school assignments in a structured, quiet classroom environment.
All Middle School students who have not been picked up 30 minutes after the close of school (4 p.m.) must report to Extended Day. Students must be picked up by 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The cost of Middle School Extended Day is $25 per day Monday through Friday. Pre-registration by 10 a.m. the day your student will attend is preferred. Families may enroll by the trimester (10% discount) or by the day.
