Employment Complaints and Adjudication Division (ECAD) processes employment discrimination complaints filed by DOI employees, former employees or applicants for employment. The Proactive Prevention of Discrimination Program strives to ensure equal employment opportunity by proactively monitoring and evaluating all employment activities to ensure they are non-discriminatory based on age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion, sex, and genetic information, in accordance with relevant civil rights laws. The Public Civil Rights Division processes discrimination complaints filed in relation to any program or activity conducted by or which receives federal financial assistance from the Department of the Interior.
