UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship for Undergraduate Study
Background and Objective
In 1999, The American University in Dubai announced the creation of scholarships that carry Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s name, citing how His Highness’ gesture reflects a deep commitment to education as the driving force in the accomplishment of Dubai’s and the UAE’s public agenda. The Scholarship has been conceived with the objective of rewarding academic excellence and responding to financial need.
Eligibility
• High school applicants should have at least a 90% grade average (or equivalent). Financial need as demonstrated by insufficiency to fund educational expenses will also be considered.
• Open to all nationalities
• Open to all undergraduate programs
Coverage/Renewal
The Scholarship entitles the recipient to a partial/full tuition waiver subject to the approval of the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship is granted for the first academic year, and maintained until graduation provided that eligibility conditions are satisfied. Terms and Conditions apply.

The Gebran Tueni Media Scholarship
Background and Objective
Established in the memory of the late Lebanese journalist, Gebran Tueni, The Gebran Tueni Foundation (GTF) conducts academic, cultural and social activities to empower Lebanese youth through different programs including scholarships.
The foundation, in collaboration with the Mohammad Bin Rashid School for Communication at AUD, offers two Gebran Tueni Media Scholarships in the Arabic Track at an undergraduate level and entitles the recipient to a tuition waiver of 100% up until graduation (terms and conditions apply)
Eligibility
Applicants should be of a Lebanese nationality with excellent academic average in High School (required averages vary by school systems, students should consult AUD admissions office for pertinent requirements)
In addition, applicants must:
• Submit a portfolio consisting of art work, articles, other audio-visual work, or any creative work done by the applicant
• Sit for a qualifying interview conducted by a member of the MBRSC Admissions Committee
Coverage/Renewal
The Scholarship entitles the recipient to a waiver of tuition for one academic year (two semesters [Fall and Spring]) until graduation (terms and conditions apply); it also covers dorms and visa charges (Travel and Visa regulations of students is subject to the prevailing governmental regulations and directives).

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication Scholarship
Background and Objective
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication (
MBRSC
) was established following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, at the American University in Dubai. The School was founded with the aim of attracting the brightest students from across the Arab world, those who aspire to become communicators, by providing them with solid academic training. Upon their graduation, these students are hoped to contribute to the evolution of media institutions in the Arab World and help rise with it to international standards of professionalism and quality. For the School to be able to recruit such a diverse student body from all corners of the Arab World, it is important to provide financial aid to those in need.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the Scholarship, a high school student must be an Arab National and applicant to the Arabic track of the B.C.I.S. degree program, majoring in either Digital Production and Storytelling or Journalism. High school applicants should have at least a 90% grade average (or equivalent).
In addition, applicants must:
• Submit a portfolio consisting of art work articles, other audio-visual work, or any creative work done by the applicant
• Sit for a qualifying interview conducted by a member of the MBRSC Scholarships Committee
Coverage/Renewal
The scholarship entitles the recipient to a waiver of tuition for one academic year (two semesters [fall and spring]/32 credit hours) until graduation. Students are required until graduation to contribute by volunteering 40 hours per semester toward outside the classroom learning activities specific to the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication. ICT Funds Scholarship for Undergraduate Admissions
Background and Objective
The ICT Fund strives to promote a culture of entrepreneurship in the UAE ICT sector and to improve linkage between industry and academia. Additionally, it promotes the involvement of UAE nationals in the realm of scientific and technology research in order to foster self-reliance of technology creation and development in the country.
Eligibility, Coverage & Renewal
Eligibility:
• The scholarship is only open to UAE Nationals.
• New students must apply to the
Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Programs
at AUD.
• Candidates must have a good academic average in the secondary certificate or equivalent
• Candidates must fulfill AUD's Admissions requirements.

• For transfer students, a good academic average is required.
• Candidates must have maximum age of 24 years.
• Candidate must pass required medical tests.
• No prior conviction of a crime of honor or honesty, or any criminal act
The Student must also sign an agreement and must adhere to the following conditions:
• The Student will regularly attend classes, and maintain the minimum CGPA required by AUD and TRA for satisfactory progress and graduation from AUD
• The Student will join, upon graduation, a specialized position in the field of information and communication technology in the UAE.
Coverage:
• The Scholarship entitles the recipient to a waiver of tuition for one academic year (2 semesters) until graduation. Terms and conditions apply
• The Scholarship also provides a monthly allowance.
Deadline to apply
Application for ICT Funds Scholarship should be submitted by July 25
th
for the fall semester and December 15

Students who wish to apply for the Betha Scholarship Program (ICT Funds) should apply to AUD first, in order to get the acceptance letter required for the Scholarship application. Once the acceptance letter is received, students should then submit the Betha Scholarship Application through the following link:
AUD School Partnership Initiative (ASPI)
The AUD School Partnership Initiative entitles admitted students, who are currently graduating from any of the AUD school partners, for partial tuition waivers up to 100%, based on the final grade 12 average.

AUD Senior Scholarship
Scholarships may cover either 25%, 50% or 100% of tuition not to exceed 32 CH (one academic year) Books, fees, housing, etc. are not covered.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must:
• Have achieved “senior status” (i.e.,
completed all but 30-32 credit hours
) in their degree program;
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5;
• Not have committed any Conduct Code violations.

The application will be available from May 8 to May 20 of each academic year.
Documents to upload:
• Senior scholarship request letter (student should state why he is suitable for this scholarship).
• Letters (two) of recommendation from faculty;
• AUD transcript (unofficial);
• Statement of Need to be considered as a basis for awarding of the scholarship and evidence of change in financial status of fee-paying agent.

GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The AUD Alumni Tuition Waiver
AUD Alumni who are admitted to any of AUD graduate programs are entitled for a 25% tuition waiver until graduation.

The AUD Graduate School of Education Tuition Waiver
Background and Objective
The Graduate School of Education at the American University in Dubai is dedicated to supporting educators in recognition of their vital contribution towards shaping the next generation of leaders, and society as a whole. To this end, the Graduate School of Education is pleased to offer the 40% tuition waiver for qualified applicants for the Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) for the year 2021/2022.
Eligibility and application requirements
To be eligible for the tuition waiver, applicants must receive acceptance to their desired program, and should submit the
proof of their current employment
as teachers, teacher assistants or school administrators, along with their admissions application.
