What is Telemedicine?
Telemedicine services refer to health care services delivered using live interactive videoconferencing technology.
Using telemedicine, a client and a licensed provider physically separated by some distance communicate through live interactive video.
With the client’s consent, Northeastern Center may provide medication management and assessments via telemedicine. The appropriateness of telemedicine services shall be determined by the licensed provider responsible for the services being provided. If it is determined a service cannot be delivered effectively or safely via telemedicine, the service will be scheduled for a face-to-face appointment.
Clinicians providing telemedicine services will be fully credentialed to provide services at the facility where the client is being seen.
As a community mental health center, Northeastern Center provides comprehensive mental health services, including outpatient therapy and medication management, substance use treatment, adult residential homes, inpatient services, 24/7 crisis services and more. With 12 locations across DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben counties, it has served northeast Indiana since 1977.
No person shall, on the grounds of race, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, ancestry, veterans status, ability to pay, GINA, gender identity or sexual orientation be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefit of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity of Northeastern Center, Inc. A discounted/sliding fee schedule is available based on family size and income.
