Introduction
Diploma in Library and Information Science (D.Lib.i.Sc.) is a one year undergraduate program. The student, in this course, learns to catalogue, classify and store books and documents. Library is an integral part of human life. It imparts knowledge and help to enhance the personal skill of the one availing the service. So, a library is maintained by all educational institutes and public bodies. But to organize and provide quick service with numerous books is really a tough job. It is where one needs the expert help of a diploma holder in library science. DLIS impart elementary knowledge, understand about different aspects of Library Science, concept of library and librarianship and understand the basic principles and laws of library science.
