At the National Medal of Honor Museum , March 25 is both a national observance and a growing local tradition — a moment to pause, gather, and celebrate the values that shape our shared story. One year ago, our community gathered outside this iconic building to raise the flag and open our doors for the first time — a milestone made possible by the Members, partners, and supporters who believed these incredibly true stories deserved a permanent home. In our first year, the Museum has: Welcomed more than 75,000 guests from across the country and around the world Been named Best New Museum in America by USA Today Reached nearly 300,000 students across 12,000 schools through the National Medal of Honor Griffin Institute’s Character Playbook and Moments That Matter curricula Medal of Honor Day is presented in partnership with the Texas Lottery and the Dallas Cowboys , whose support helps bring the community together for a day of reflection, connection, and shared experience.
