We did the Bogside walking tour before visiting the Museum of Free Derry, and it made the experience even more powerful. Both are a must if you’re in Derry.

The museum is incredible, and the walking tour around the murals complements it perfectly.
A great way to understand Derry’s history.

Stunning and sobering. When combined with the museum’s location, the range of artifacts on display are a real gut punch. How museums should be and worth the visit to Derry alone.

This should be at the top of your list if you’re visiting Derry. The museum does an outstanding job covering Free Derry, Bloody Sunday, and its aftermath. The exhibits are very well done, and there’s a nice gift shop with items related to Bloody Sunday/Free Derry. Highly recommended.
