The Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records (NSLAPR) is seeking a Management Analyst 3 to serve as the
Library Data and Compliance Analyst.
This position is responsible for providing compliance oversight, data analysis, fiscal insight, and policy guidance to support statewide library operations. Key responsibilities include administering library standards, managing staff certification processes, and tracking trustee training participation. The incumbent will maintain and analyze statewide library datasets, including the annual Public Library Survey, and produce reports and visual summaries for internal leadership and external stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst contributes to the Nevada State Data Center (SDC) by assisting state and local agencies in accessing and interpreting Census and demographic data.
The role involves preparing, reviewing, and submitting contract and procurement documentation in coordination with authorized fiscal staff, monitoring program and grant expenditures, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring adherence to statutory and policy requirements.
The position also develops internal risk assessments, collaborates across Library programs to align compliance, training, and program initiatives, and provides direct supervision of assigned staff, including performance feedback and evaluations.

This position will work with the public and in public areas, and provides assistance to in-house, phone, and email inquiries. This position will assist patrons with in-house equipment, databases, and locating information. This position will answer basic reference questions and perform standard circulation functions such as issuing library cards, checking out materials, reshelving and Interlibrary Loan functions.
Library Technicians/Assistants perform duties in support of the operation of libraries that house and provide access to a variety of materials in a variety of formats. Incumbents perform and/or supervise technical, paraprofessional and administrative duties within one or more functional areas of the library including acquisitions; cataloging; circulation; collection maintenance; document delivery/interlibrary loan; government documents; reference, serials and/or metadata, electronic resources, and digital services.

The Nevada State Library, Archives, and Public Records is seeking a Management Analyst 3 in Carson City. The incumbent will serve as Director of the Nevada Library Cooperative, a regional library consortium formed under the authority of NRS 379.147-149 and governed by the Board of Directors. The Cooperative contracts for fiscal and human resources services with the State of Nevada and the position is under the administrative chain of command of the Department of Administration, Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records (NSLAPR) in Carson City. The incumbent will take direction from and report to the Board of Directors and coordinate with NSLAPR as the fiscal and human resource agent. The position is responsible for the efficient operations of a 16-member library consortium which shares an online catalog and additional products and services. Duties range from basic to advanced technical troubleshooting; providing consultation to members on products, services, local library operations, training and best practices; vendor relations; contract management; all aspects of implementing public meetings in accordance with Open Meeting Law; annual budget build, issuing invoices, monitoring member payments and organizational spending; and strategic plan advancement. Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and three years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and five years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
