Financial support
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you can apply for emergency funding through our range of financial support packages. There are also other support options available such as the Kent Students' Union Campus Pantry for supplemental food and help with getting a PC or laptop.

There are many different ways to fund your studies. The type of funding available to you depends on a variety of factors, such as whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, whether you are full-time or part-time, or whether you are a UK or overseas student.

Undergraduate funding
Studying for a degree is an investment in your future. We believe that talented students from a variety of backgrounds should have the opportunity to study at Kent.
Postgraduate funding
We're here to help you find the best financial support available through postgraduate scholarships, research funding and loans.
Scholarships
Kent offers a comprehensive variety of scholarships to students who achieve outstanding academic merits, plus scholarships in sport and music.
US and Canadian Loans

Kent Financial Support Package (KFSP)
Open to UK students who are new to higher education and have a household income of less than £30,000 as well as meeting other financial eligibility criteria.
Additional student funding options
For care leavers, young independents, estranged students, homeless/foyer students, student carers, and refugees/asylum seekers.
Year in Industry funding
If you take a year in industry as part of your course, either in the UK or overseas, you may still be entitled to some statutory support while you are away from the University.
Year abroad funding
If you study a year abroad as part of your course, you may still be entitled to statutory support while you are away from the University.
