Office of Acquisition Management
(SC-44)
The Office of Acquisition Management supports the Office of Science (SC) mission by providing SC specific policies and guidance related to the management and operation of the ten Department of Energy (DOE) SC national laboratories, and contracting and financial assistance support and guidance to the SC Consolidated Service Center (CSC).
What We Do
Support the SC Head of Contracting Activity (HCA) on all matters related to SC procurements and financial assistance, including providing expert advice in the areas of M&O contracting, non-M&O contracting, financial assistance, and contractor human resources management.
Support SC Headquarters Program Offices, Site Offices and the CSC by lending technical expertise to advise and/or assist in resolving issues.
Establish SC wide goals, strategies, policies and expectations.
Provide guidance to ensure established policies and expectations are understood and implemented.
Conduct oversight activities as required by DOE directives and as requested by the HCA.
Identify cross-cutting issues and recommend strategies for improvement.
