Owensboro Community and Technical College offers classes on all campuses and at convenient
locations in the surrounding counties and at select off-campus locations in our service
region as needed.

The 100 acre Main Campus is nestled on the outskirts of town at the corner of Veach
and Hwy 231 at 4800 New Hartford Road. The state's fourth largest city, Owensboro
is the seat of Daviess County and is the regional hub of the four county service area
of OCTC.

Student services offices on the Main Campus are open to serve all OCTC students, regardless
of course location or mode. Offices include:
The START (Student Testing, Admissions, Registration, Transcripts) Center – Placement
testing, advising/counseling following placement testing, walk-in admissions inquiries
and application services, initial advising for freshmen and non-credential seeking
students, registration, transcript requests, and assistance with student account creation
and online access to our student information system.
Counseling Center – Initial advising for transfer and students who have stopped out
(readmits), orientations for new students, tours for potential students, communications
(mail, telephone, e-mail) with applicants, academic counseling, interventions with
students in jeopardy of course failure, advising for probation/ suspension students,
student success seminars, crisis intervention, student health information, student
activities, student organizations, and student government.
International Student Services – Community activities, community events, support for
all students, international student admissions and advising.
Student Records Office – Application processing, student records, evaluation of transfer
credit, maintenance of academic (graduation) plans used by advisors, transcripts,
certifications of enrollment, and graduation.
Financial Aid Office – Financial aid (federal, state, local), scholarships, and financial
aid appeals.
Additional services are available to eligible groups, including disability services,
services for veterans, on-campus child care, and the Ready-to-Work program for low-income

Beyond these student development services, many academic support services for students
are housed in the Learning Resource Center, the academic hub of the campus. These
services include the Library, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) and the CyberCenter.
The TLC offers free tutoring, test preparation, and proctoring services for test takers.
It is staffed by one full-time employee and numerous tutors, including faculty members
who donate their time. Information technology support, including open computer labs
staffed with trained assistants and a HelpDesk for students, is available. The primary
computer lab, the CyberCenter, has over 75 computers and full-time employees available
to assist online and on-campus students.
In addition, students preparing for college-level work may qualify for receive free
assistance through our Adult Education program, located at the Downtown Campus.

The Downtown Campus is located at 1501 Frederica Street, in the heart of Owensboro.
The campus is accessible from Frederica or from Daviess Street. It is home to the
Workforce Solutions division, the Adult Education program, Workforce Testing, an Art
Lab, and a state of the art Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Breckinridge County Area Technology Center is located at 1915 East Hwy 60, Harned,

opportunities to secondary students.

The Hancock County Center and Annex are located at 8010 HWY 60 West, in Lewisport,
Kentucky. The Center is used to meet regional workforce, industry, and secondary partner
needs for education and training. The Annex is utilized as a welding lab. Both facilities
are the product of a collaborative agreement with the City of Lewisport, Hancock County
and Hancock County Schools.

IBEW Local 1701
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) LOCAL 1701 is located at 5651
Old HWY 54, Philpot, Kentucky. Owensboro Community and Technical College is utilizing
a portion of this facility to offer specialized industry training specific to a partnership
with IBEW.

The Owensboro Innovation Campus is located at 2631 South Griffith Avenue, Owensboro,
Kentucky. The Campus is a business accelerator and research facility that meets the
growing demand for lab, research and office space for startups in Owensboro. In partnership
with Owensboro Public Schools, Owensboro Community and Technical College is utilizing
a portion of this facility to offer dual credit courses for secondary students.
